Applications are invited for the 2019 Kault Piano Prize.
The Kault Piano Prize for a diploma student of a VMTA member is awarded annually by the VMTA. The prize was established in 1998 by David Kault in memory of his mother, piano teacher Lyndall Kault and his father, Mendel Kault. Entries are open to piano students of VMTA members only.
Applicants must have completed the requirements of the AMusA or LMusA Diploma in 2018 and have achieved the required level of theory or musicianship. For AMusA the applicant must have passed AMEB Grade 5 theory or musicianship, and for LMusA the applicant must have passed AMEB Grade 6 theory or musicianship.
The closing date for applications is Thursday 21 March 2019 and the total prize value is $380.
The winner will be advised late March/early April and the result announced in the VMTA's monthly eNews. The winner will be asked to submit a photograph and a short biographical note for publication in the eNews.
